The Vollenhovense Bol “Vrouwe Fortuna” is a beautiful white flat bottom of 8.10m from 1996! Of course after a design by Gipon and also built in Deil. A typical Vollenhovense Bol, only the interior is slightly different:
In the cabin, the galley is placed on the starboard side, creating a lot of space on the port side. Here, the U-shaped seating area has been made, of which the table top can be turned downwards so that a double bed is created here too. The layout of the boat is ideal for a family with (small) children.
In the front there is the double bed on the port side and a single bed on the starboard side. By use of a cushion, this space is easy to convert into a large bed of approx. 250cm x 200cm. In the total front you can find a so called ‘sailing-room’, a fun and comfortable sleeping space for a child!
The ‘Vrouwe Fortuna’ is very comfortable and very well equipped. The sailing boat has recently received a new Craftsman 27hp marine diesel engine!
She is a very good sailor, performance very well under-sail and is easy to handle.
In short: a great flat-bottomed sailing boat for sailing holidays with families on the Frisian lakes of the Wadden Sea!
